<p>As you can see in the picture, I&#8217;ve inserted this cool training aid on the end of my golf driver, right on the shaft. Slid it - Twist it and it&#8217;s on in a matter of seconds! <p>One of the coolest things about it, is it&#8217;s so small, I can easily put it in a compartment of my golf bag so I never forget it when I go to the range or before I play. <p><strong>Increase Driving Distance</strong></p>
<p>If you want to increase your power and driving distance you need to set up a consistent training routine with your new <a href="http://www.performbettergolf.com/power-swing-weight-trainer.html"><strong>golf swing weight</strong></a>.</p>
<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a routine I would have you do with it. </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Full swings 20 times a day for a week.</li>
<li>First 5 swings very slow to loosen up.</li>
<li>Next 5 swings at about 50% speed.</li>
<li>Third 5 swings at full speed but with good technique.</li>
<li>Last 5 with perfect technique in front of a mirror.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Golf Specific Warm Up</strong></p>
<p>This is a great golf aid for warming up. Especially if you&#8217;re short on time because you got to the course late for your round. Your golf warm up would be the same as the power routine, but I would not swing it at 100% because this is a warm up to &#8220;loosen&#8221; your muscles to play.</p>

I&#8217;ve mentioned this before, but focusing on core rotational exercises with resistance (i.e. dumbbells, tubing, medicine) will have a profound affect on your ability to <strong>hit longer drives</strong> effortlessly. The below video shows you how simple (and fun) these golf exercises are, and you can see they are very golf specific. No general fitness here!</p>

The key is to find some simple, yet effective tips and golf swing training exercises you can do daily to get even faster results.</p>
<p>There are a couple of elements that can enhance the speed at which you swing your golf club. Core strength and flexibility should be at the TOP of your list. The golf swing requires a high level of rotational speed, and the ONLY way to achieve it is having a stronger, and more flexible core area.</p>
<p><strong>Core Golf Muscle Training</strong></p>
<p>Don&#8217;t let the subheadline of this section scare you. Especially the &#8220;training&#8221; word. What I&#8217;m referring to is simple, effective, in-home golf swing training exercises that you can do with a single dumbbell, medicine ball, exercise tubing, and even the big ball. You MUST focus on rotational movements that replicate your golf swing. Doing crunches or straight leg raises will NOT help you increase your clubhead speed. Every core (ab) movement you ever do for golf should be rotational in nature. You heard it here first <img src='http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><strong>Swinging A Weighted Golf Club</strong></p>
<p>You&#8217;ve seen them before. Those weighted golf clubs you can make actual golf swings with. This is a fantastic training tool to add clubhead speed and power to your golf drives. You&#8217;ve got to do it right though. You need to ease into swinging this club faster and faster. The first day, make full swings at 50% speed. Next day off, then the following day, at 60% speed. Day off then 70% speed, and so on&#8230; until you are swinging the weighted club at near maximum speed. When you build up to this fast swing with a weighted club, you will be swing your &#8220;normal&#8221; weight club up to 15 mph&#8217;s faster.</p>
<p><strong>Improve Wrist Lag In Golf Swing</strong></p>
<p>Creating and retaining wrist lag in your golf swing is a surefire way to higher clubhead speeds <strong>through the golf ball.</strong> Many, many beginner and amateur golfers lose their wrist lag too early in their downswing and have just given up over 50% of the speed before they even hit the golf ball. First off, learning the <a href="http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/golf-wrist-cock-proper-golf-grip-preset-wrists/">proper golf wrist cock</a> is essential to achieving higher clubhead speeds.</p>
<p>There are several other tips for increasing clubhead speed but I don&#8217;t want to give you too many all at ounce <img src='http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Instead, consume and apply these; see what kind of results you get from it; then come back for more tips.</p>

Making a bigger backswing takes focused training with golf specific stretches targeting the exact golf muscles used in your backswing. This is an easy <a href="http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/how-to-fix-shoulder-turn-in-golf-swing/">fix for golf shoulder turn</a> issues. All you&#8217;ve got to do is a <strong>simple golf stretch </strong>like the one below, and you&#8217;ll quickly see improvement in your backswing range of motion.</p>
<p>Notice how I&#8217;m doing this right in my office with a golf club. I am sure you have an extra club laying around to be able to do the same thing. I like this stretch so much I even have it on the cover of my stretching ebook. Notice the resemblance between the two pictures <img src='http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  It targets a very specific muscle (the lead rear area of the shoulder). This is a very tight muscles with most golfers, especially if the aging bug is creeping up on you.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/improving-in-golf-by-stretching-golf-swing-muscles/">Improving in golf by stretching</a> is something that cannot be ignored! </p>

<p><strong>Instructions:</strong><br />
•	Sit in chair and extend left arm in front of you (if you are a right handed golfer).<br />
•	Take both hands and put on top of club.<br />
•	Drop upper body down against club to feel a stretch in your left shoulder.<br />
•	Hold for at least 15 seconds, repeat once more. </p>
<p><strong>Benefit to Golf Swing:</strong><br />
•	Improve back swing range of motion, allowing for a bigger shoulder turn and generating more club head speed.<br />
•	Stretch back of shoulder for more range, but with-in golf swing.<br />
•	Indirectly improve trunk rotation while maintaining golf posture. </p>

<p>Many beginner and high handicap golfers want to know what the <strong>correct golf wrist cock </strong>is. Although this is very important to get right, having a <a href="http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/proper-golf-grip-left-hand/">proper golf grip </a>will ensure you execute your wrist golf properly. </p>
<p><strong>Issues With An Improper Golf Grip</strong></p>
<p>If you have too strong of a left hand, you will have too much cup in your wrists at the top of your swing. This may cause you to overcock your wrists, and come across the line at the top, causing a whole host of issues coming down. If your golf grip is too weak, it may cause an excess bowing of your left wrist which will result in a shut clubface both at the top of your golf swing and at impact, resulting in some brutal pulls to the left. <p><strong>Proper Golf Wrist Cock</strong></p>
<p>The proper golf wrist cock is very simple. You do not want to manipulate your wrists in any way, or you will have as mentioned above either too much cup in your wrists or excessing bow in them. With the proper grip on your golf club, you should be able to get in your address position, and without doing anything, just raise your clubhed straight off the ground vertically. You will do this by correctly cocking your wrists straight up.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;ve reached your maximum wrist cock, stop, hold it, and take a look at it. That is a perfect golf wrist cock that will encourage wrist lag and power into your golf swing.</p>
<p><strong>Preset Golf Wrist Cock</strong></p>
<p>This is where it gets fun. I do this all the time, and actually hit balls from this position. Once you get the proper wrist cock as described above, now just rotate the shaft to your right until it is parallel and right on top of your toe line. This is a perfect position to be in to just rotate back to an absolute beautiful &#8220;text book&#8221; top of the backswing position, with the correct and proper amount of wrist cock. At the top you will notice you are still parallel with your toe (target) line, putting you into a perfect position coming down.</p>

<p><strong>How to &#8220;Reach Back&#8221; to Unleash Your Power Golf Game</strong></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a simple way to <a href="http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/how-to-fix-shoulder-turn-in-golf-swing/">fix your shoulder turn in your golf swing</a>.There are some golf holes where an extra <strong>10, 20, or 40 yards more off the tee</strong> can make a big difference – like a long par 4 or a reachable par 5.</p>
<p>The question is, &#8220;<strong>How can you add an extra gear to your golf swing to take it deep and still split the fairway?</strong>&#8221;</p>
<p>Whenever I need extra yards on my drive I focus on just two things:<br />
1.	&#8220;Reaching Back&#8221; on my backswing to elongate my swing arc;<br />
2.	Keeping my grip pressure &#8220;medium firm.&#8221;</p>
<p>Thinking &#8220;Reach Back&#8221; on the backswing helps you to:<br />
1.	Extend the club away from your body for a wider arc that naturally increases club head speed;<br />
2.	Shallow out your swing arc to minimize backspin and maximize carry distance;<br />
3.	Create an elastic stretch in the &#8220;big&#8221; muscles of your back and shoulders that are the source of your power golf game.</p>
<p>Thinking &#8220;Medium Firm&#8221; on the grip pressure helps you to:<br />
1.	Maintain a grip pressure firm enough to feel in control, but not so tight that it eliminates the elastic stretch of the big muscles;<br />
2.	Minimize the unwanted tension in the hands and arms that prevents forearm rotation through contact and slows down swing speed;<br />
3.	Medium firm, on a scale of 1 (light) to 10 (tight) would be a 4.</p>
<p>Before you unleash your <a href="http://www.bestfreegolftips.com/category/power-golf/">power golf</a> swing take a couple of practice swings at 50% of speed. Focus on &#8220;reaching back&#8221; as far as possible with the left arm until you feel a stretch in the big muscles of your back. Keep your grip pressure medium firm all the way through impact. When you step to the tee, you&#8217;ll be ready.</p>
